As I sit down to write my very first E.I.C Letter on ReviewsTribe, my heart is filled with gratitude. How can it not be?
I just came out of a life defining surgery, after all. A journey and story soon to be shared with you, our readers. It feels like I have been given a second chance to fulfill a calling by doing this thing called writing/journalism through ReviewsTribe. I do not take it for granted!
This is the start of New Beginnings. How timely is it that, I am doing this on the very last day of June? I only realized as I was editing this, that it is June the thirtieth. And, guess what, today marks the end of the first half of this year, 2024. This is surely God’s timing!
A new Beginning indeed!
Before embarking on this new adventure (ReviewsTribe) I asked myself many times, is it right that I am starting this all over again? What would the critics say? Those who have known, watched and followed me all these years. Won’t they laugh and mock me, behind my back, and some even to my face; that I seem to always “restart”? Won’t they call it, inconsistency? Do I want to come back to media? Isn’t it easier to stick to my 9-to-5 job?
As soon as that voice starts attempting to dissuade me with the above questions and worries, a voice replies saying, but you never stopped writing and the job of informing and educating people in an entertaining manner. Nor, have you ever stopped creating. The times you shut down those other ones, you had to. The voice goes on to reassure me, you migrated to a whole other country, and have been working on establishing yourself enough to do this.
So now has always been the right time! The voice then emphatically says, “besides, let them Talk!”.
And in response, a thrill runs through me in acknowledgment that I am capable.
You see, we are sometimes our own barrier. We limit ourselves by wondering what will people say.
Although it has met with so many obstacles, this Editor-in-Chief letter, is a fulfillment to a promise I made to myself, in 2023 at a time of mourning that I am going to start an Informative and Entertaining website, and a quarterly journal/magazine of the same standard/genre. And, it would be bigger and better than anything I created in the past.
Launching ReviewsTribe today with this Editor-in-Chief Letter confirms the fact that though it may tarry, and no matter how long it takes, once we are determined and resilient about something we absolutely believe is a calling for us, we will certainly achieve it. This website should have launched months ago but one life bump or the other kept stalling it.
In retrospect this Letter is not only the launch of a new website (ReviewsTribe), it marks a New Beginning for me.
The story of my life’s New Beginning will be shared in a series of short stories which I have titled, “My Journey with Fibroid”, it will be on the website’s Category, Biweekly-Tush-Stories (BTS). As the name of the category states, fresh stories will drop in that category biweekly (every two weeks).
It is a very personal story that I have felt very vulnerable writing about but I strongly believe it will help someone or many struggling with this very painful feminine problem.
I have meticulously created every category on this website, and together with my team, handpicked passionate writers to create content for your reading pleasure.
My team and I are poised to bring you beautiful content, believable and well researched information, to educate and entertain you.
From Movies to Fashion, from Biweekly-Tush-Stories to Style, Beauty and more, we intend to be different in our style of storytelling, content creation, and delivery of Information.
Finally, part of the New Beginnings of this stage of my life is not only getting to start ReviewsTribe as a website but also as a Quarterly Magazine.
I have always dreamed and wanted to be a magazine publisher. That dream will prayerfully come to pass by August this year (2024). RTQuarterly will drop on the first day of August and I can’t wait.
So, to new beginnings…
